Exercise during chemotherapy can help to reduce unpleasant effects, improve energy level, help with mood and improve some of the cardiac effects that some patients experience. Because of those positive benefits, The Jones Clinic has previously offered cancer patients an opportunity to participate in a group exercise program. Through this program, goals are individually developed for each participant and activity typically includes stretching, aerobic and non-aerobic exercises.
While a class is not currently being offered, please contact Ellen Eisen, LCSW, OSW-C, clinical social worker and facilitator, at 901-202-7639 or via email(eisen [at] jonescancerclinic [dot] com) if you are interested in participating in the next class.
